Not photogenic? Neither am I.

I trained at ESAAT in Roubaix, drawn to animation and to technology from the start, then in Poitiers, one of the few schools teaching 3D at the time. Communication, video, music videos, 3D, then animated series with Médialab in Paris. I have worked with images since 1991.

In 2001 I founded my own company, Wipon Creative Technology, and ran it for twenty-three years, with the support of Réseau Entreprendre Nord and HODEFI. Times changed and so did my appetite for images. I have been a full-time photographer since 2024, working on commissions and on projects of my own. In truth I always was one. Now I say so.

Over those years, I made images for large companies, for communication agencies such as BETC and Havas, and for television channels, TF1, France Télévisions and M6. A broadcast date is not negotiable. You deliver before it, every time. I kept working that way.

What those twenty-three years in creative direction taught me is to work out what is at stake in an image before making it. One story among many: the manager I photographed a few years ago at the Méridien Beach Plaza, in Monaco, now runs the Martinez, in Cannes. We are still in touch.

I think, oddly enough, that this era needs more than ever to show what is human about us, what makes each person different from the next. I like technology, I trained in it, I still use it every day. But people go on surprising me, and I hold on to that. Despite everything.
